Fred n' So

Delivered · live

Showcase site for an eco-conscious event caterer on Île d'Oléron. A one-page site and contact page present the chef and the food, turning visits into quote requests without a database or persistent server.

Context

Fred n' So is an event caterer based in Saint-Pierre-d'Oléron, serving weddings, receptions and corporate meals from around twenty guests. Its environmental commitments include a two-star Île d'Oléron sustainability label and reusable containers. We have supported the client since the outset and delivered its showcase site.

The challenge

Create a fast, credible site that presents the caterer's work and generates local quote requests, with low operating costs and an architecture that remains straightforward to evolve.

Our approach

A one-page site with a separate contact page, built as a static Nuxt application and deployed on Vercel. It presents the chef's story, a food gallery, client reviews, press coverage and around thirty institutional references, including the Île d'Oléron intermunicipal authority, OFB and SDIS 17. A detailed quote form — date, guest count, venue and event type — sends enquiries through an AWS Lambda function. reCAPTCHA v3 provides spam protection and images are optimised as WebP. The static architecture requires neither a database nor a persistent server.
