Case study · Cross-platform gaming platform

Reavox

Discontinued2-year engagement

A player-matching platform shipped across Android, iOS, Windows, macOS and the Web, with real-time communications over WebRTC. The service has since been discontinued.

Context

Reavox was a platform for players looking for teammates and gaming groups. We supported its development for two years across mobile, desktop and the Web. The service has since been discontinued.

The challenge

Deliver a coherent experience across five targets — Android, iOS, Windows, macOS and the Web — while integrating real-time communications into a community product.

Our approach

A shared Flutter codebase powered the mobile, desktop and Web applications, connected to a Node.js and MongoDB backend deployed on AWS. The platform also relied on Firebase and WebRTC for real-time capabilities.
